Gala dinner to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne d'Angleterre du Nord.
The Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne d’Angleterre du Nord, held its 50th Anniversary Celebration Gala Dinner and Investiture at Manchester Hall on Friday 10 November 2023. The Investiture ceremony was presided by Ordre's Commandeur Christophe Juarez and other Ordre's Dignitaries. This fabulous occasion was marked with a fine selection of champagnes served, including the Gardet Millésime 2012 Extra-Brut, in magnum.
This was a very special and spectacular evening for Champagne Gardet, as our Champagne House was able to present its exceptional vintage, the Extra-Brut Millésime 2012, in magnum.
The Extra-Brut Millésime 2012, in magnum, is modern and bold at the same time. The black grape explodes with fruitiness and ripeness, while the Chardonnay reveals its minerality with magnificent acidity. Its colour is a brilliant golden yellow, with fine bubbles that rise elegantly. The nose brings notes of brioche, then freshness mixed with iodine aromas and a hint of honey. The palate is again fresh, with citrus fruit and minerality. The generous, rich aromas of Pinot Noir (70%) and the elegance of Chardonnay (30%) enrich the wine, all at a dosage of 4g/L.
Our vintage had the honour of being served at this investiture ceremony and presented by the owner of Champagne Gardet, Christophe PRIEUX. Champagne Gardet was received with many great compliments and worked superbly with the selection of Canapés.
This anniversary was as well the perfect time to honour the commitment of all the members to the Ordre and to Champagne. We had an extraordinary evening, with high-quality food, service and, of course, our favourite beverage!
