International success for Champagne Gardet
The Millesime 2013 Extra-Brut wins the Master Medal at the 2023 Champagne Masters competition.
Champagne Gardet is delighted to announce that its Extra-Brut 2013 cuvée has been awarded the Master Medal, the highest distinction in the Champagne Masters 2023 competition. The Champagne Masters competition, organized by The Drinks Business, this year saw a record number of entries from all over Champagne, making the win even more significant.
"Recognised for its Pinot Noir driven style, reflecting its home in Chigny les Roses, Champagne Gardet produces fascinating wines. Mainly from grand and premier cru vineyards, this wine is a fine example of Montagne de Reims mingled with a bit of Côte des Blancs. Pale lemon-vellow with tiny bubbles and a well defined cordon, it has lovely fruit with lemon and orange blossom, and Japanese cherry trees, will fresh yeast. Pristine and extra-brut in style, it is lively and fresh with a light body, elegance and concentration. Long and distinguished, it will pair well with sole meuniere, or oysters in a Champagne cream sauce." Patricia Stefanowicz (MW)
Winning the Master Medal at the Champagnes Masters competition is an achievement, where only the best champagnes are rewarded. Out of a total of more than 160 entries, only 7 were awarded the master medal. Champagne Gardet is incredibly proud to have been awarded this distinction, which testifies to its unwavering commitment to producing champagnes of the highest quality.
